Lions Report (Pregame Edition): It’s the last game of a disappointing season. I’ll do season ending report cards in a few weeks. For now, I want to focus on this game. There isn’t much to focus on, other than who’s going to play.
On one hand, I want Dan Campbell to sit players like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Penei Sewell and even Jared Goff. I don’t want to risk those guys getting hurt in what is essentially a meaningless game. Campbell likely won’t see it that way. First, he’s a competitor and he wants to win every game he plays. I get it. Second, and maybe more importantly, if the Lions lose this game, they will have a losing record for the season. That may be too much for Coach Dan Campbell to swallow, even if it means a risk of key players getting hurt.
My guess? Everyone is going to play. That’s just the way he is wired. I’m just worried about playing in the cold against a Chicago Bears team that is playing well and looking for some payback for the ass whipping we gave them in Week 2. If we get a critical injury in this game, with no upside, I’m not going to be happy.
It’s hard getting up for this one. Plus, it’s a 4:30 game. I hate 4:30 games.

I like the pregame. There's hope in it. Like NFL draft day, or most Lion off seasons.
I’m hoping this means my man TeSlaa gets more playing time 🫶🏻
Awesome, Carney! Been waiting for something like this!
Nice Job Carney
